Going Green - Earth Friendly Solutions

Today, we hear much about global warming and general concern for the environment. The most important way we have positively impacted the environment is through the products we sell that not only save the environment, but also save you time and money.

Over the past 10 years, Ideal Shield® customers have saved the environment from millions of gallons of paint. Paint pollutes our environment through the ground, water, and air.

The Ideal Shield® Bumper Post Sleeve eliminates the cost and the continual need for painting by sliding the sleeve over an existing steel post.

The Handrail and Guardrail are all paint free and are manufactured from 50 % recycled plastic and are 100% recyclable.

Our New Metro Lighted Bollard utilizes ultra violet rays throughout the day, it shines bright all night long eliminating energy usage and battery consumption. UV LED Fixtures and components are “State of The Art” technology in the new era of non-electric energy saving products.

At Ideal Shield®, we strive to bring you cost conscious, green products, which are cost effective and competitively priced.

What is a bollard cover anyways?

The terms stanchion cover, bollard cover, and bumper post sleeve all refer to sheathing, originally manufactured in high-density polyethylene, which slides over an existing bollard. The bollard cover was originally manufactured by means of a process called rotational molding. The purpose of this invention, patented [[1]] by Frank Venegas, Jr. on November 12, 2002, is to eliminate general maintenance such as painting. Mr. Venegas knew that the benefits of the product were needed in multiple industries. Eager to start manufacturing the product (while patents were still pending) he founded Ideal Shield, LLC.
The apparatus is now commonly used in many different industries ranging from gas stations, retail storefronts, warehouses, banks, and parking lots. Since its creation bollard covers have evolved from a simple dome shaped design to being available in many ornamental forms. Some of these include the pawn shape, ribbed shape, and even lighted bollard covers. If you would like to take a look at the many different styles available, check out the Ideal Shield web site.
